Fireworks, Diamonds in the Sky and All Things Fourth of July

Things are finally heating up here in Midcoast Maine and what better way to kick off the official summer weather than with all things that shimmer, sparkle and shine?  No we’re not just talking about our exquisite designs. Thanks to America’s Independence day, you can enjoy fireworks all along the coast throughout the long weekend.

Some of us will be staying in Camden's 2017 for the fun Harbor Park. According to the Penobscot Bay Chamber the day’s festivities include the Camden Rotary's Music by the Sea concert from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Camden Harbor Park & Amphitheatre, which features free Independence Day performances from 2pm-8pm. Of course all of the July 4th downtown Camden fun will culminate with the annual spectacular fireworks display over the harbor. One of our favorite clients mentioned that they loved being in Camden for the Fourth due to the bright white fireworks that look like diamonds falling from the sky over the water.

Despite how convincing that beautiful description is, a few of us will be heading North instead for the fireworks held in Searsport every year. Like us, be sure to arrive early in order to snag yourself a great spot. This is another family friendly event with live music, food trucks and if you’re lucky enough you might just be able to sit directly on the shore while watching the fireworks display which starts at 9pm.

For those who will be Midcoast but wish to stay inland, there will be activities all day long on the 4th that the whole family can enjoy in Thomaston. This has always been a favorite for locals and out of towners alike who appreciate an old fashioned fourth of July.

Whatever your preferences to celebrate, and wherever you go all of us here at TMD wish you a safe and happy Independence Day.
